About this project
We developed and constructed a new pump track in Kiewa-Tangambalanga.
In early 2024, we sought feedback on the draft concept designs. While there were limitations on changes to the design layout, we wanted to hear the community's overall thoughts on the concepts and if there was anything we'd missed or should consider.
Additional features such as toilets and pathways etc were not part of this scope of works, however could be considered in future grant applications and capital works programs.
What we heard
Feedback gathered during the engagement period was overall supportive of the concept plans, with 69% of survey respondents indicating they were very supportive or somewhat supportive.
We’ve noted any ideas outside the scope of this project, such as water bubblers, toilets and car parking for consideration through Council’s annual budget process.
How was it funded?
Following a successful funding application through Sport and Recreation Victoria’s 2022 Local Sport Infrastructure Fund Community Facilities Stream, we commenced working with the Kiewa-Tangambalanga community to determine the best location for the track within the park and how to ensure the design is inclusive and accessible for all skill levels and users.
