The 2024/25 Events Grant round opens on 1 July 2024 and closes 4PM Monday 5 August 2024.

Our Event Grants program provides financial assistance to event organisers to ensure all residents and visitors have access to a range of recreational, social and cultural activities. The funding program supports events held in Indigo Shire to be a celebration of place and foster town vibrancy and to be inclusive, accessible and open to local community members and visitors alike.

Indigo Shire Council is committed to working in partnership with local clubs, community groups, committees, service providers and businesses to deliver place-based events that consider:

  • Volunteerism and opportunities for participation
  • Economic yield
  • Township vibrancy – celebration of place
  • Building place profile
  • Creativity and innovation
  • Resilience through connectivity
  • Inclusion and accessibility
  • Environmental sustainability

Our Event Grants Panel assesses all applications before providing funding recommendations to Council.
