Coulston Park draft master plan

Consultation Process

In September 2023, we sought community feedback on the draft master plan for Kiewa-Tangambalanga's Coulston Park.

Why did we consult?

The draft plan was developed following extensive research to understand how the park is being used and to identify gaps in infrastructure and stakeholder engagement with the following user groups and governing bodies:

• Coulston Park Committee of Management
• Kiewa Sandy Creek Football Netball Club
• Kiewa Cricket Club
• Kiewa Valley Bowling Club
• Tangambalanga Tennis Club
• Tangambalanga Community Centre
• State sporting associations
• Regional sporting associations
• The Department of Energy, Environment and Climate Action (DECCA)

Following this process, we invited broader community input to ensure the draft plan represented the community's vision for future of the site.

What did we find out?

We received 25 survey responses, with 92% supportive of the overall changes proposed in the draft plan. Respondents were most supportive of improvements to the tennis facilities as well as improving parking and pedestrian connections.

What happens next?

The final plan was presented to Council in December 2023. It was then placed on exhibition. Should there be any submissions received, these will be considered and presented to Council. If not, it will be adopted with no changes.
