Update - 13 November 2025

After further meetings with representatives of the Barnawartha Recreation Committee of Management it has been confirmed that the location of the new playground will be as shown on the attached Site Plan, which is in accordance with the approved 2025 Barnawartha Recreation Reserve Master Plan.

A concept plan has been developed and quotations sought for the design and construction of the playground which is to include a cantilever basket swing, a combination play unit, with slide and climbing elements, and a shade sail.

It is expected that the works will be completed during March 2026.

In conjunction with these works, the Committee of Management will proceed with the closure of vehicle access to the reserve from Stanley Street and upgrade the existing access from High Street as the main entry point for game days. This action is also in accordance with the 2025 Barnawartha Recreation Reserve Master Plan.
