About this survey

As the pool season comes to a close, we’re gathering information to understand how this season went and how people across the Shire used our community pools and inland waterways. We want to build a clear picture of swimming habits, what people value most, and how these spaces are being used day to day.

What we’re asking about

This survey also asks about the recent changes to the pool season. For 2025/26, pools opened on 1 December 2025 and will close on Easter Monday, 6 April 2026 - a later season than in previous years, which traditionally ran from early November to early March. We’re keen to understand how this new timing has influenced your pool use, whether it suited your routine, and how the season dates worked for our community.

We’re also seeking insights into when people visit, how often, what they use the pools for, and whether they swim elsewhere. This information will help us plan future seasons, programs and facilities so they continue to meet community needs.

How your feedback will be used

The insights gathered through this survey will also contribute to the development of our upcoming Aquatic Strategy, which will guide the long‑term sustainability of aquatic facilities and services across the Shire. Broader community engagement on the strategy will occur later in the year, but you can read more about the aquatics planning here.

Chat with us in person

We’ll also be holding a series of pop‑up sessions across the Shire to chat with community members, answer questions and encourage people to take part in the survey. Dates and locations are listed on this page.

This survey will close Monday 6 April 2026.
