About this project
We've appointed Unearth Pumptracks and Skateparks Pty Ltd as the design and construction contractor for the new Yackandandah Pump Track, marking the start of an exciting project for the community. Locally based in Yackandandah, Unearth brings a strong value base for community-focused outcomes, and building projects with a lasting legacy.
Located at the Yackandandah Sports Park, the track will integrate into the existing recreational park and is anticipated to become a highly popular destination and a key community activity area for Yackandandah in the coming years.
Why is this project being undertaken?
The development of the Yackandandah pump track is identified as a key action in the Yackandandah Sports Park Master Plan. The track will be designed and built to suit a broad range of ages, abilities and equipment, from beginners through to advanced riders and skaters and will support the already strong bike culture in Yackandandah and build upon the popular Indigo Epic Trail adjacent to the site.
How is it being funded?
The project has been made possible through a direct funding allocation from the Victorian Government’s 25/26 budget, outside of a grant process. Council is working to deliver the project outcomes, within the government's funding allocation.

With the contractor now on board, the next step is to gather community feedback on the concept design which can be viewed here or under Documents on this page.
Join us at a community drop-in session at Yackandandah Sports Park on Wednesday 23 September, from 1pm to 4.30pm, or Friday 2 October between 9am and 12pm, where you can view the proposed design, ask questions and share your ideas with the project team.
Feedback can be submitted in person or by email at info@indigoshire.vic.gov.au and will help shape the design before it moves into detailed design and construction. Submissions close at 5pm on Friday 2 October.
