Indigo Seniors Festival
The Indigo Seniors Festival is part of the Victorian Seniors Festival - a month-long celebration throughout October featuring fun, free and low-cost events across the state. Locally, the festival encourages active ageing, community participation and meaningful social connections, with a diverse range of events for older residents to enjoy.
Indigo Seniors Festival Grants Program
Local community groups and organisations can apply for funding to help bring festival events to life. With support from the Victorian Government’s Seniors Festival program, grants of up to $500 are available to assist with delivering activities as part of the October festival.
Whether you’re planning a storytelling circle, garden gathering, craft workshop or something completely unique, these grants can help turn your idea into reality.
Applications open annually from 1 July to 1 August.
Why apply?
Running an event is a great way to:
Bring people together
Celebrate older residents in our community
Share skills, stories and experiences
Contribute to a vibrant local festival program
How to apply
Before applying, please review the 2026 guidelines. When you're ready, simply complete the application form by Saturday 1 August 2026.
