We’re seeking community feedback on our Draft Asset Plan 2025. This important document outlines how we'll manage and maintain the infrastructure that serves our community every day.
What is the Asset Plan?
The Asset Plan is our roadmap for managing the infrastructure assets that belong to our community. It covers everything from roads and bridges to community buildings, swimming pools, and drainage systems.
This plan explains:
The current condition of our infrastructure
Future maintenance and renewal needs
Key challenges we face, including climate change impacts
How we'll prioritize spending on infrastructure over the next four years
The Asset Plan is written in clear, simple language so everyone in our community can understand how their infrastructure is being managed.
Why do we need an Asset Plan?
The Local Government Act 2020 requires all councils to prepare an Asset Plan every four years.
Our infrastructure supports everything we do, from getting to work safely on well-maintained roads, to enjoying our recreation facilities and having reliable drainage during storms.
The plan shows you exactly what infrastructure we have, what condition it's in, and how we're planning to maintain and improve it for the future.
The Asset Plan directly influences our 10-Year Capital Works Program and annual budgets, ensuring we spend your rates wisely on the right priorities.
* Please note that Table E1 is yet to be updated with figures from the adopted 10-year Financial Plan.
