Following this process, we invited broader community input to ensure the draft plan represented the community's vision for future of the site.

What did we find out?

We had 56 responses to our survey and 94.6% of these were supportive of the proposed changes to Barkly Park. Respondents indicated they were most supportive of the change room upgrades, followed by improvements to the social/clubrooms, spectator shelters, carparking and pedestrian improvements and match day toilets facilities.

Feedback was also received via the ideas tool about netball court improvements, and this was added to the data received through the survey on this particular topic.

What happens next?

The final plan was presented to Council in December 2023 and placed on exhibition for 28 days. No submissions were received during this time and the master plan was adopted by Council at its February 2024 meeting.
